There are very few things I love more than a good pair of boots. Maybe it’s the horse girl in me, but the second fall rolls around, I’m ready to trade sandals for leather, suede, and anything that makes jeans and a sweater instantly feel pulled together.

But here’s the thing: I don’t want boots that only work with one outfit or for one occasion.

I want the pair I can throw on for a morning at the barn, keep on while running errands, and still look cute grabbing lunch afterward. I also love a boot that gives me that slightly equestrian, just-left-the-barn look—even when the next stop is actually dinner and drinks.

What Made My Fall Boot Edit

For this edit, I wanted boots that hit that sweet spot between practical and pretty.

I looked for comfortable, wearable styles at approachable prices, and the boots I chose have 4+ star ratings with plenty of reviews behind them. Because as much as I love a beautiful boot, I'm not interested in spending a fortune on something that's uncomfortable after an hour.

You'll find a mix of styles in my edit—from classic riding-inspired boots to easy Chelsea boots and those rugged, waterproof barn-style boots that somehow look just as good with jeans and a sweater.

Of course, I had to sneak in a stiletto. Because sometimes the boots aren't going anywhere near the barn—and that's kind of the point.
